Eligibility Criteria
- i. A candidate must have a Master’s degree in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga, Siddha, Bio-Sciences and Sanskrit with at least fifty five percent (55%) marks or a grade point average equivalent to 55% marks at the Master’s Degree examination. For SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) Candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.
- ii. A candidate appearing in PG Final Year Examination may also apply provisionally for the Ph.D. Entrance Examination.
- iii. In case of a regular teaching faculty member of the University or its affiliated college applying for PhD degree, must serve for a period of minimum of one year as per University/State Govt. Rules.
Procedure for Admission
-The University will notify the predetermined / manageable number of seats for Ph.D. students annually depending upon facilities and expertise of eligible faculty members.
-The candidates shall be selected for registration into the Ph.D. degree (i) Through Research Entrance Test and (ii) Direct Admission (without appearing in Entrance Test). The admission merit will be in the order of (i) NET-JRF (or equivalent national test) and (ii) Entrance Test. provided that, the candidate who has qualified UGC/CSIR- JRF test or equivalent national test like ICMR JRF, DBT JRF etc. shall be exempted from the Research Entrance Test.
